The Thuraya SO-2510 handset is powerful and compact, offering total convenience and mobility. Weighing just 130g, the Thuraya SO-2510 is the smallest and lightest satellite handset available.
While compact, the Thuraya SO-2510 is also powerful. It provides the convenience and mobility of uninterrupted border-to-border satellite communication across Thuraya’s coverage area spanning more than 140 countries across Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
 

Voice and data
With the Thuraya SO-2510, you can make voice calls, plus send or receive SMS messages,faxes and data. The Thuraya SO-2510 is GmPRS enabled and enables you to easily send/receive emails and browse the web. Used with your connected laptop, access the internet at download/upload speeds of 60/15 kbps. Fax and data speeds are 9.6 kbps.
GPS navigation services
The Thuraya SO-2510 enables you to find waypoints quickly and safely with its in-built GPS navigation functionality.
Languages
The Thuraya SO-2510 supports 12 languages, including: Arabic, English, Farsi, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Urdu.

		Car Charger The car charger ensures your Thuraya SO-2510 is never out of power while you are on the move. It provides non-stop operation of your handset by charging your Thuraya SO-2510 while you drive. The car charger simply plugs into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket, charging your handset using a standard vehicle DC jack.
		Travel Charger Thuraya’s Travel Charger with EU/UK/Chinese plug types is a compact device that links your Thuraya SO-2510 to a mains socket for charging. It can be used regardless of whether the handset is switched off, on standby or during a call. The charging time of a Thuraya SO-2510 with a fully discharged battery is approximately 2 hours 25 minutes. The exchangeable plugs allow you to charge your Thuraya handset in most parts of the world.

Dual mode ACeS/GSM 900

The combination of GSM 900 and satellite coverage makes the R190 Satellite an effective communication solution. It switches automatically between satellite and GSM modes when out of coverage and can be used in any GSM 900 network in the world (withh appropriate roaming agreements/SIM card).

The pocket-sized satellite phone

The R190 Satellite is the smallest, lightest satellite phone on the market today. Weighing only 210 grams, it is light enough and slim enough for you to keep in your pocket or attach to your belt.

One number, one bill

Subscribers can use their existing GSM phone number even for calls made in satellite mode. The "one number, one bill" system means that all calls, whether GSM or satellite, are placed on the same bill. It makes administration simple and keeps coast under control. (This service is network-operator dependent.)

Four network modes

The R190 Satellite has four network modes to cover all situations and preferences: GSM 900 only, Satellite preferred, and Satellite only. In the "preferred" modes, the phone will automatically switch to the alternative network if the preferred mode is not found.

Additional GSM antenna

The dual mode satellite/GSM antenna can be removed and replaced with a snap-on GSM antenna for use in GSM environments. The included GSM antenna is lighter and smaller then the satellite/GSM antenna and enchances the phone's compact profile.

Full range of accessories

The R190 Satellite is fully supported by a comprehensive rang of 4 V accessories which enable you to use and enjoy the phone at its full potential. Two accessories have been designed exclusively for the phone: the Advanced Car Kit and a special Leather Case.

Voice Mail

Voice Mail Service features is a newly introduced service provided by BYRU in complementing the ever mobile subscriber. By default all BYRU PSN subscriber has been setup (setup in R190 handset and FR190M) to accommodate this new service.

High Penetration Alert

Only available in Satellite Mode.
If you are in an area where the satellite signal is very weak, this feature will still alert you to an incoming call. To receive the call, look for an open area where the signal quality is better. You have up to 2 minutes (depending on the caller's network) to find such an area.

Call Forward/Divert

This allows you to divert incoming calls to another number.
Choose from the following options:

• Forward all incoming calls
• Forward when busy
• Forward when unreachable
• Forward when there is no reply

Call Waiting

If you have another incoming call while you are speaking on your phone, the Call Waiting feature will alert you to the incoming call with a special tone. You can then choose whether or not to accept it.

Call Holding

Call Holding enables you to put a phone conversation on hold while you accept another incoming call or call another number.

Conference Call

This feature allows you to speak with up to five different callers at the same time.

Call Transfer

You can connect the person you are talking to with another caller who is on "hold". Once they are connected, your connection will automatically be closed.

Fax & Data Transmission

Your BYRU Card lets you send and receive Fax and Data at a speed of 2.4 kbps. To take advantage of this service, you must first register with the BYRU Customer Care Center.

Roaming

Only available to postpaid customers. The roaming facility gives you the freedom to use the networks of BYRU's GSM operator roaming partners. To enjoy this facility, contact the BYRU Customer Care Center.

IDD (International Direct Dial)

This makes calling numbers outside Indonesia easy. Postpaid customers must register with the BYRU Customer Care Center to take advantage of this facility.
